100 Days at Sea Cargo Ship — Mid-Run Loot, Unsolved Doors
An enterable vessel whose container holds carry some of the best mid-run loot in the game. Here is every verified fact — and a clear line under the door puzzle nobody has published a route for.
What it is
The Cargo Ship is an enterable encounter — a hulking vessel on the map whose container rooms carry top loot. Multiple sources confirm it as a location, listed among the verified islands and map stops. It is not an island, and it is not the buildable Container Shelter; "container" in this game means two different things, and this page is the lootable one. The shelter meaning lives on the container shelter page.
The official badge list does not mention cargo ships, containers, or a door. So there is no award count to tell you how many players have boarded one. What we have is player and guide coverage of the loot, and a very loud absence around the doors.
When and where
No trusted source has published a spawn day or a map coordinate. What is documented is the slot it occupies in a run. The day guide and the islands route agree: Days 1–3 stay home — harpoon, Bonfire, Sawmill, Crab Trap. You have nothing an island (or a ship) can meaningfully add yet, and a dead Bonfire while you are away is an Angler Fish.
Mid-run — once you can absorb a knock-down — the Cargo Ship sits with Survivor Islands and Mukumuku Market as the Medkit and rescue phase. That timing is why we file it as mid-run loot rather than a day-one errand.
What loot is documented
One item is named with a number: up to two Medkits per ship among the container loot. That is a bigger deal than it sounds. Medkits are the revive item, not a general heal — player footage settles that picking a downed teammate back up runs on a Medkit. A knock-down without one effectively ends a run, which is why the islands page calls the Cargo Ship the most valuable non-boss stop on the map. Full source list for the item is on the Medkit page; the revive rules live on how to revive.
Everything else in those container rooms is described only as "some of the best mid-run loot." No trusted source has published a drop table, a Doubloon count, or a weapon list for the ship, so neither have we.
The Cargo Ship is not the Ghost Galleon
Two large ships, two completely different encounters, and search results mix them constantly. The Cargo Ship is a location you board for loot. The Ghost Galleon is a boss you summon by ringing bells — the official badge list even carries a badge for defeating it three times in a single run, which tells you it is a repeatable fight rather than a place. If a guide describes the Cargo Ship as a boss with a health bar, it has merged the two.
The doors: why nobody has published a route
Getting the doors open is a famous head-scratcher. We re-checked this on July 26, 2026. Searching for how to open the Cargo Ship doors returns auto-generated wiki domains that also publish this game's fake codes and invented island tables; the two guides from the one outlet that demonstrably played the game do not cover the Cargo Ship at all; and in 265 real player comments harvested on July 18, not one describes a door mechanism. There is no route to report, from anyone.
The only leads that exist are references to keys — a red key, and a Ghost Pirate stronghold key — and no source we trust ties either of them to the cargo doors. Keyed entrances do exist elsewhere: the tested beginner guide describes the Tower and Fortress islands as the ones with keys, and warns solo players away from them. Whether the Cargo Ship uses a key, a lever, a route or nothing at all remains open.
Documented danger around the trip is the same danger as any night away from home: the Angler Fish hunts anyone off-raft at night or without a lit Bonfire. No trusted source names a unique enemy that lives on the Cargo Ship itself.
FAQ
What's on the Cargo Ship in 100 Days At Sea?
Container rooms with some of the best mid-run loot, including up to two Medkits per ship. Opening its doors is the tricky part — the door route is on our in-game verification list.
When should I go to the Cargo Ship?
Mid-run, once you can absorb a knock-down. Days 1–3 are for the raft: harpoon, Bonfire, Sawmill, Crab Trap. The Cargo Ship sits with Survivor Islands and Mukumuku Market as the Medkit-and-rescue phase, not a day-one errand.
How do I open the Cargo Ship doors?
No source we trust has said. Whether it uses a key, a lever, a route or nothing at all is unverified. Leads that exist — a red key, a Ghost Pirate stronghold key — are not tied to the cargo doors by anyone we would put our name on.
Is the Cargo Ship the same as the Ghost Galleon?
No. The Cargo Ship is a location you board for loot. The Ghost Galleon is a boss you summon by ringing bells — the official badge list even carries a badge for defeating it three times in a single run. If a guide describes the Cargo Ship as a boss with a health bar, it has merged the two.
How many Medkits are on the Cargo Ship?
Up to two per ship among the container loot. Medkits are the revive item, so a single ship is worth up to two revives.
